History
In 2008, Mayor Tom Henry held the first Social Service Summit in Fort Wayne. People came together to discuss what we as a community could do better. Following a year-long conversation with organizations in our community, the concept of a communication portal was created. People said that they wanted to be able to find, share, and learn from others in the field of local human service providers.
We envision a virtual community, where professionals, volunteers, and residents contribute content and tell your stories that shape and change our community. We can learn from each other.
ComeTogetherFW.com (CTFW) is the site that provides a platform for everyone to seek out the information, tools and resources to help individual, families, and children in need. Working together we CAN make a difference.

Purpose
ComeTogetherFW.com is a web-based initiative to help people share the great work they are doing and connect with others like themselves. We want everyone to be able to find the answers to your questions and connect people together to enrich our community by connecting fellow case managers, program managers, administration, executive directors, and volunteers.
ComeTogetherFW.com is a web-based initiative to help human service practitioners from all callings build new relationships, share knowledge, and learn from each other. Our goal is for this site is to:
- Expand your network of relationships
- Share stories from the trenches — “the good, the bad and the ugly”
- Ask questions and get answers
- Discuss ideas and learn about each other
- Find out about events and training opportunities
- See current job listing for local organizations
- Discover new websites, books, community news stories, etc.
- Connect to 2-1-1 to find out information and resources other services
